About
Me
I possess a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ohio University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from New Mexico State University (with high honors). I am working on a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications (with an emphasis on Journalism Education) from Kent State University.
I am a member of several professional and educational organizations, including Rotary International and Kiwanis. I am a Crimson Scholar at New Mexico State University, Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
I served as honorary fundraising campaign chairman for United Way of Gallia County (Ohio). I have also volunteered as a member of Rotary International in Alamogordo and Gallipolis, as well as Kiwanis in Gallipolis; and I served as a volunteer basketball, baseball and softball youth league coach.
But I am not always all business. I enjoy hanging out with my family. My wife, Keitha, and I have been married for 19 years and we have three children: son Austin (23), and daughters Hanna (22) and Abigail (16). We enjoy traveling to new places and discovering new surroundings.
I thoroughly enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, riding four-wheelers, mountain biking, and wildlife, weather and landscape photography.
And ... I am a huge Star Wars fan. If you're of like mind, we'll get along just fine. Original trilogy, prequel trilogy, sequal trilogy, spinoff movies, The Clone Wars, Rebels and The Mandalorian. It's all good. After all, it's Star Wars.
I love college football and Major League Baseball - my two favorite sports. It doesn't matter who's playing ... it's all good to me. I pull for the Detroit teams and Michigan teams, and, of course, Purdue.
